MIDLAND, Texas — A day after the Tall City Black Gold played for the first time in front of its fanbase in a preseason game, the team returned the love with a youth football camp Sunday.

The players and coaches interacted with its youngest supporters, sharing smiles and fun in drills and games.

"It's always good to give back, because at the end of the day, we were once a kid and we always wanted to have somebody that was older than us doing what we love to do to give back and talk to us at the end of the day, so that's basically what we are here for," Tall City Black Gold defensive back Tyrel Thomas said.

The Tall City Black Gold opens the 2026 Continental Football League season on Saturday, May 30 at the Fort Worth Braves. The home opener is June 6 at 7 p.m. versus the Texas Syndicate.
